Daily Items and Updates in the New Decade!
Do read the ongoing exchanges between the resurrected Cecil and me. i'm not certqin of what's going on, but I'
It's the last day of February, 2017, and the eCONomy is clipping along at a brisk pace.
So says the media.
I resigned from my Part Time job at the TSA, and and am now in job search mode. I didn't like to board a bird before, and now am less likely, unless air travel is the only way to get from A to B.
It's all good. Until it isn't.

It's a whole new ball game when Cecil replied to my snail mail Christmast card of 2016.
You can read the newest chapter at the bottom of the sidebar, and it is still a work in progress.

JULY 4, 2015. Happy Independence Day to all of my readers!
Cecil Mader did make a return trip to my inbox for a few weeks after his initial disappearing act, but he has once again deleted his yahoo account.
I'm not certain, but it's highly possible that Frozen Fiefdom has come to an end. See the final email exchange in the last chapter on the left side bar.
May 29, 2015. See the addition of Cecil Mader, in the chapter of "Who Is, What Is?"
May 28, 2015. New additions within the chapter entitled: "Secretgovernmenttarget.com. Simply Proof that "Big Brother" Isn't Your Benevolent "Uncle Sam!"
May 16, 2015. Maybe we our in the 7th inning of this ball game, and I have no idea who will be the Pitcher in the 8th and 9th.
Cecil Mader has exited from my email box, and the mail failure report from Yahoo.com stated that he has deleted the account. He has used it to email me since January of 2014. You can read his final email to me in the series at the bottom of the page of the last chapter entitled: "Secretgovernmenttarget.com. Simply Proof that "Big Brother" Isn't Your Benevolent "Uncle Sam!"
As Cecil became a major player in Frozen Fiefdom, and most of the last Ten chapters at the botton of the left side bar feature many of emails he and I exchanged, he earned a space in the chapter of "WHO IS WHAT IS."
April 19, 2015. It's time for what should be the final chapter of Frozen Fiefdom, with the lastest, see link below, or simply scroll to the bottom of the left side bar.
January 17, 2015. New additions at the bottom of the chapter entitled: "Double Entendre and DoubleSpeak..."
January 8, 2015. Happy 2015! As expected, Cecil seems to have fulfilled whatever mission and purpose the Elves had assigned to him, as he hasn't emailed me since January 1, 2015. I won't be surprised if a new "recruit" appears from Elf Central, in my email box.
December 31, 2014. See the newest chapter located at the bottom of the left sidebar: "Double Entendre and DoubleSpeak..."
December 13, 2014. More additions under the section about Cecil.
December 6, 2014. So much to share, so little time. I'm making space for a new chapter to recap recent events and emails. You'll find it under the chapter entitled: "Cecil, he's not blind, as him name means in Latin; rather he's the Blind Man who seems to see and know so much."
November 20, 2014. Mom didn't lie when she was giving a warning, and her words about McCarthyism, folks being accused of things that were lies or staged events, and especially her words about how others will be used to swear they saw or heard this and such, etc., are certainly on my radar. I've been piecing together some of the many pieces of this puzzle, and the pieces and players are snapping into place.
November 17, 2014. So much to write about, so little internet access. The Motel 6 has had a major internet outage for about
the last week, with apparently no WIFI to the guest rooms. I'll check again later today. The staff at the front desk are dealing with the slowdownin a friendly and professional manner, and the rooms are still clean and comfortable.
I've had plenty to write about, as I look for more permanent housing, and there's more new material under the last several chapters at the bottom of the left sidebar, with more to be added ASAP.
November 3, 2014.
It's been Non stop action and fuel for fodder for Frozen Fiefdom, here in the Valley of the Sun. It doesn't seem quite right that so many little Telling Tidbits seem to pop up daily. In the housing hunt; there are countless rentals in all price ranges available, and from various sources. I've used Craigslist.com with zero success, Zillow.com with zero success, hotpads.com, and a few other online sources; either the place is rented before my scheduled appointment, the place was advertised as available now, but not ready for occupancy, not as described in the ad, or just not quite what I was looking for in a rental, etc. Rather unusual, but not unexpected.
I'm still at the Motel 6, and the staff are very pleasant and professional.
October 29, 2014. Yes, Virgina, there is a GOD. My 9.6 earthquake prediction for the Big Berg didn't occur on October 28, 2014. However; I may not be wrong, only early on the call.
October 24, 2014. See the newest chapters near the bottom of the left sidebar. So much material, so little time to get it online before the next bonanza trainload arrives!
October 21, 2014. Click on the sidebar to the left for the newest chapters. I'll add more to Target Takedown Tactics specifically, and soon.
It's all in a day's work, for those of us who are unemployed.
October 18, 2014. It's been a fascinating adventure here in the Valley of the Sun, and there's always something interesting going on around here at the Motel 6, and everywhere I've been. The staff have been very gracious and professional, and the property is well maintained.
It's a full cross section of guests who've arrived during my stay, and it's refreshing to know that even folks who drive much nicer rides than I know a good deal when they see the price on the lighted sign.
The things people do, say, wear in public, and make it a point to do so; it's really noteworthy. A plethora of information and material for any who are bored with watching TV, or working on their Ph.D. in whatever Shrink Wrap program that gives 'em a piece of paper after years of attending irrelevant classes and writing meaningless papers.
Step out into the world, and see and absorb everything you'll ever need to know about human behaviors.
Today I was having lunch at a MCD's, and sat in an area with a large screen TV on either side. They were both broadcasting CNN, but one had a clear picture with legible and usually correct punctuation, and the other had the same broadcast playing, but with the screen had "snow" overlayed, and the closed captioning was a so obviously wrong, I wondered why; as I know about static and interference over the airwaves.
Low and behold, the question was answered about 25 mins. after I sat down, and some other customers sat on either side of me; a friendly pair and I exchanged a pleasant interlude from a usual Saturday, at least for me, until another patron hung out over the back of the booth, and seemed to enjoy watching the snowy screen. He didn't look like anyone who would ever watch news, and certainly most folks who watch TV tend to insist on a clear picture. Hope he got an eyefull, as I did. He should probably be more CONcerned about catching an STD than Ebola, which was the topic. Ebola is no problem a'tall, and folks are really dropping like flies? Even in Africa, the answer is: Nope.
See new material under: Target Takedown Tactics, and Timeless Travel Tips chapters. More to follow!
October 10, 2014. I've been in Phoenix, AZ, less than 24 hours, and the heat is on!, so to speak. See the newest chapter at the bottom of the sidebar entitled: "Timeless Travel Tips: Motel Moves by Ogling Oafs
July 3, 2014. I'll be posting more material in the chapter "Target Takedown Tactics..." now and throughout the evening.
June 19, 2014. I've restarted the chapter (link below) Plenty of eyeopening info., and more to be added daily.
April 4, 2014. And the plot thickens! For the last few months, I've been in email contact with a person who first emailed me with few complimentary lines about my poems, etc. After a few brief exchanges, the same writing style as exhibited by "Leaves," Jeff, and others who have emailed me over the years, emerged with a signature flourish; featuring poor punctuation, deliberate misspellings, gibberish, veiled meanings, and almost unintelligible words on the screen, coupled with plenty of speculation, information digging, and a few other subtle, and not so subtle, techniques I recognize.
A week or so ago, I also received an email from another person, using what appears to be a legitimate email address of a Juneau ISP, and from a person who did, and may still, live in Juneau. His interest was in Cindy Elrod, and while a couple of things didn't smell right, perhaps something positive will come out of our email exchange.
November 5, 2013. Major computer issues have delayed my working on the newest chapter; no surprise, given the stampede of traffic to this website the last couple of weeks.
October 26, 2013. Working on newest chapter.
September 5, 2013. In the last several weeks, there have been many folks who have landed on Frozen Fiefdom, while doing internet searches for information on the murder of Cindy Elrod, back in 1983;. Many from within The Big Berg, and several folks from other states are still curious as to if, and when, it will be solved.
July 13, 2013. See newest additions under the "Eye Spy and Ear Leer" chapter. I'll be adding more later today.
June 7, 2013. There's been a surge of hits on the Emails To / From CIA page in the last few days. Kinda makes a person wonder what current or future event has sparked such interest?
April 20, 2013. More material to be posted soon, and thanks to all my readers for your continued interest.
April 1, 2013. It's April Fool's Day, but this is no joke; altho it's a rather humorous read. Last day of Spring Break from LAUSD, so a fine opportunity to add material to the newest Chapter: the_big_tech_stretch_eye_spy_and_ear_leer
March 20, 2013. See newest addition under Chapter:
March 7, 2013. Much new material at the bottom of The King of Hearts Versus... chapter.
Feb. 16, 2013. This story simply has taken on a life of its own. A series of recent emails between Jeff and I have provided content for the newest chapter : The King of Hearts Versus The Queen of Spades.
And be sure to check back as I add material to the new chapter: Target TakeDown Tactics: You'll know 'em when you see 'em!
Jan. 13, 2013. New addition at the top of the page of "An Unsolved Murder?"
I'm always curious as to why many people don't ask the right questions about some things, and think that others don't notice. Equally telling, is when I ask specific and direct questions, and others choose to avoid answering, or to deflect in some form or another. There's always an answer; it's simply a matter of someone being interested enough to find it.
Afternoon, December 25, 2012. See my latest Poetic Personals Ad which was written, posted, and Flagged and Bagged, all within less than 2 hours. I'm not sure how many I written and published in total, probably in the mid 50's? This lastest is at the bottom of the page under the chapter: Poems 42 -
December 25, 2012. It's another Christmas without my daughter, Claire. Sources have said to me for the last several years that she's been told I'm everything from a prostitute, a complete nutcase, to an adult film actress; just to list a few juicy but untrue labels, straight from the lips of folks that she and I both know well. It's a shame, and should be a crime for folks to make false statements about another, but the young mind of a child can be easily influenced, and the damage is sometimes impossible to undo.
I hope that in time she will learn to question the statements those who are close to her have wrongly made about me, and she will recollect the wisdom of the old saying: "Believe half of what you see or read, and none of what you hear," and will take the initiative to find out the truth for herself.
The upside is: When Jeff from Ohio and I met up in Charlotte, NC, back on September 30, and October 1, 2012; he implied, without giving actual numbers, that there are many, many, other Americans who have been subjected to the same loss of child custody and parental rights, and that it's a very effective means of CONtrol. Ruining a person's reputation personally, professionally, or both, has been used by many for decades; it's one of the oldest tricks in the book, so to speak.
One does have to wonder what so many of us could possibly know, that would have so many willing to do the bidding of some unnamed entity? On the surface, it doesn't make sense, nor sound logical.
I think more than a few better start hopin' to Christ or ET, that some folks paths don't cross again. It's probably also well past time for "the they" to drum up some new Target Takedown Tactics. This one is getting used too often, and was happening to others in Alaska, according to what my Mom told me, back in the early 1970's.
Have an enjoyable Holiday Season, Readers!
Dec. 15, 2012. Another Beautiful day in L.A. And plenty of traffic on this website from the Big Berg; there is some truth to the old saying that "everybody's looking for something."
December 9, 2012. New additions near the bottom of the pages in:
emails_to__from_jeff_hang_it_all_out_until_theres_no_doubt_left
Nov. 23, 2012. There's been several government agencies on Frozen Fiefdom so far this month; the CIA, the DOD, the DOT, a couple of branches of the military, and a couple different arms from DHS. They all must have been looking for something in particular, but I wonder if they found it? Or perhaps they were just a bunch of overpaid federal employees with too much free time on their hands.
Various agencies under the State of Alaska have made regular stops by the website, and from different locations around the state, almost since the inception of this website. Usually, they go directly to the page of "An Unsolved Murder?", but don't seem to be curious enough to contact me directly. It's OK, time will tell; or someone will.
Nov. 15, 2012. See newest section at the bottom of the sidebar: "Those Three Little Words..."
November 9, 2012. New addition under the chapter: "Emails To / From CIA."
Nov. 2, 2012. Catch up on more amusing musings under The Charlotte Chronicles.
October 22, 2012. Plenty of new additions under Emails To / From Jeff, and the Charlotte Chronicals. Jeff phoned me several times yesterday, but didn't leave a message. Butt dialing can happen, but at least one of the calls was during the time Gail and I were having a heated discussion about Snuff Movies.
October 15, 2012. It just gets better, and better. Every day dawns, each morning. Even I'm impressed. No need for Fiction, when Real Life is so Fascinating. I want my daughter to know what I know, and not to be lied to any longer about me. Especially from those she trusted.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7aYcDe3voww
October 13, 2012. Added more material to the recent sections, and a new chapter WHISTLEBLOWER OF THE WEST..., under the left side bar. Content will continue to be added shortly.
October 9, 2012. See newest section: The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly. And the Seemingly Impossible. That section will grow, as I add what I know. And be sure to check all five of the newest chapters at the bottom of the left sidebar for the newest additions I have so much material, it takes awhile to find it and organize it. And the daily things in Charlotte I can only publish after they occur.
October 4, 2012. See newest sections of Emails To / From Jeff. Hang it all out there until there's no doubt left! and The Charlotte Chronicles. Family Fun is Never Done! Both are located at the bottom of the sidebar.
October 2, 2012. It's been a busy week here in Charlotte, NC. I'm visiting at Gail's for a few months to see first hand what she claims is a city on the economic upswing. So far, I know I've spent plenty of cash at the local grocery stores and a Walmart. An acquaintance I'd never met in person arrived on Sunday evening from Ohio, (some of our emails and conversations are previously featured in some previous chapters) and his appearance spawned the newest chapter at the bottom of the left sidebar:
1984, AND BEYOND!! A STORY THAT JUST KEEPS ON LIVIN
August 27, 2012. A week or so ago I was in Seattle visiting with two of my Uncles who live in The Big Berg. One said: "I hear I have a Crazy neice."
I looked at him, and said: "Yep. I hear that about me also; all the way down in California."
The other Uncle changed the subject, and it didn't come up again. I find it Fascinating that folks in a small town are still spreading lies, and placing labels upon me. Makes one wonder just what folks up there are still hidin', who they are, and why would they want to discredit whatever I might have to say? More than a few must have some dirty big secrets?
Ho Hum.
But it is remarkable how statements and misinformation/disinformation seem to flow thru the Ether. That must be one hell of a transmitter they operate in Alaska, when folks I've met in CA, and another person in a distant state, somehow "heard", or were told by ????, the same "Crazy" label about me. All of them stated that they had never been to Alaska.
Perhaps I'll write the sequel to George Orwell's Nineteen Eighty-four, which I've never read, but briefly reviewed the Wikipedia page about it.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nineteen_Eighty-Four
After all, my Mother used to tell me, back in the late 1960's and early 1970's: "Big Brother is Always Watching."
I didn't know that line was reference to that book.
Apparently, it's true, at least for some of us. And with all the modern technology, public cameras, hidden cameras, listening devices, 2 way cameras built into laptops and mobile devices, TV's, cars, etc., anyone can be the star of the show, so to speak, at any given time; your permission is not necessary. Broadcasting experience is not required, having talent or good looks is also irrelevant.
When a Leaflike acquaintance (see definition of Leaf under Who Is / What Is section) suggested a year or more ago that I read 1984, I did the quick skim of the Wiki page and replied: "There's no need to read about my own life."
He roared with laughter, and snickered in agreement.
We had a conversation on the phone yesterday afternoon, where he used another line from that story, "I love you."
An unusual choice of phrase, since he and I have never met in person, and are not emtionally or physically involved.
Clearly, Nineteen Eighty-Four isn't just another novel; it is a view into our present and upcoming future. Perhaps not to the letter, but "close enough for government work", as the old saying goes.
July 23, 2012. I'm in OR, helping my Dad clean up the house and clearing out items he doesn't need or want, since Mom has passed. Was looking through some old family photos, and began to ponder, how many other families are like mine?
Different People, Different Places, Different Towns, Different Faces; I see many similarities. Humans are remarkably predictable, and have an amazing number of similar traits, habits, gestures, and expressions; regional differences aside. I almost regret not becoming a Social Studies Ph.D. My thesis would have been: "Why do people have conversations, yet fail to ask the right questions?"
July 1, 2012. Halfway thru the year, and in less than six months, we'll all know if the Mayans were onto something, or the clock strikes midnight and we are all still on the hook for our bills and debts.
There's been plenty of traffic on this website. Nothing new or scandlous to report. Lazy days of Summer...
Mother's Day, 2012. This week has seen a surge in hits for the chapter "An Unsolved Murder?", as folks around the globe look for information on the murder of Cindy Elrod. Someone, somewhere, must have said something to cause folks in Alaska and several other states, and a few countries, to google her name and murder?
Hello to the new reader from Prince Edward Island, Canada. Must be a former Juneauite?
Flying on Alaska Airlines to Oregon on Tues. evening to meet up with Gail and other family members for the Rosary Service and Funeral Mass of our Mother. See the newest chapter listed at the bottom of the sidebar: "Odds and Ends..." I haven't heard from this person since I published his personalized chapter.
Perhaps another "Leaf" will blow into my email box? Or will another Family Charade/Parade will be conjoured up? Ah yes, to know the future would be a Blessing, wouldn't it?
March 25, 2012. See newest chapter at the bottom of the sidebar:
March 19, 2012. "Curiouser, and Curiouser ", as an adult relative of mine said about something, back when I was a kid. It's also a quotation from "Alice in Wonderland".
The Ides of March have passed, and my Birthday Dinner was a charming evening; gracious host, stimulating conversation, yummy food, etc. What was most interesting, was that my date suggested that he and I take a trip to Alaska at some point in the future, all expenses paid by him, and perhaps even up to Fairbanks, to view the Northern Lights, etc.
Yeah, Baby! That's some kinda offer, from the lips of a guy I haven't seen in about 2 years, and have never even kissed. The strangest part of the story is: he was the second man within a week or so, (also a platonic relationship), to also suggest that I travel with him to Alaska; only that party was very specific about attending the graduation ceremony in May, and said tickets for it "wouldn't be a problem".
Really?
Sniff, Sniff!
Ladies, a show of hands, please. How many of you have been invited on an all expenses paid trip, even across town, by 2 different men in the same week, Ever? Without your even mentioning such an adventure? Especially by guys you aren't roMANtically involved with?
Yup. Thought so. This is L.A., and even we FOB's don't git them kinda offers, much less 2 in week, from platonic relationship guys, from different parts of the country!
The "corker" is, (a term my Mom used), the guy I used to date for 3 of the last 4 years or so, said, in very stilted words, when I asked him what he thought of the "offers",: "It was very nice of them to invite you to Alaska."
Jesus! I paid for him to attend my last Child Custody Hearing, to observe. I knew he wasn't on my team then, and isn't now. But we were dating then, and he'd never been to the Big Berg, so what the hay?
My Mom told me, way back when I was a kid: "First, they'll take your children away, and then they'll lock you up in the Looney Bin. And, if that doesn't work, they'll stick you in jail on some drummed up charges!"
Musta happened to someone she knew, cuz she was adament. And she thought I wasn't listening...But, this is the USA, Land of the Free, Home of the Brave, Freedom of Speech, and "Innocent Until Proven Guilty", correct? Oh, and something about Deep Pockets, usually rolled into the mix.
And I smell an especially nasty combo of Dead Fish, and Skunk. Scent detection is a very valuable skill, actually. Some do know 'xactly what I'm talkin' 'bout.
Deeper and Deeper into the Mystery of: Who wants me back into The Big Berg, and Why? Other than, to never leave, it does appear...Maybe I'll write a song "Hotel Alaska", along the same vein as "Hotel California". Many of you know I can, if I choose to.
March 10, 2012. Happy Birthday to me. Yepper do! I'm still on Earth, and in Rockin' Reseda, CA. Word on the street is, many were counting on my being locked up in a Loony Bin, in jail on some trumped up charges, or simply Good Old Fashioned Dead by now.
Shucks; I shor nuf do hate to hear that some are disappointed by my robust good heath, and always law abiding ways, but those are the facts. I plan to have another spectacular year, and don't see any reason why it should be anything less.
An acquaintance from a few years ago left me a VM on my phone today. Dino has competion in the Crooning field, and this lucky guy and I will be having dinner together tonight.
Feb. 17, 2012. Plenty of interest from Alaska readers, and others to my sites recently. Nothing like a few compelling stories from a homegrown gal to stimulate your mind during those long and gloomy winter days and nights. If you didn't find what you were looking for within these numerous and insightful pages, just drop me an email, and I'll see what I can dig up. There's never a shortage of dirt, or dirty laundry, in the murky mudpuddles of Juneau and Douglas, AK. Tourist info. and local lore and legends also available, send me an email. Paula@FrozenFiefdom.com
A reader and I had a long conversation today on a variety of topics covered in Frozen Fiefdom, as did another reader and I last Sunday. Folks down here in The Lower 48 are mighty curious to know just why so many folks and family members from one tiny town would put so much time and effort into staging a dramatic sideshow, with me in the negative spotlight.
Their conclusions were amazingly similar: You must know something they don't want you to talk about.
Could be, as all the bluff and blather produced by any of the participants was easily disproved by me; or the words and claims of one party in the Attack Pack were more often than not , out of sync with another. When folks making accusations can't get their own stories straight, most inquiring minds wonder how such confusion can be taken as credible.
Feb. 7, 2012. Ya gotta see it to believe it.
Back to the headlines from the Big Berg. "So Called Psychics Try to Claim Reward."
http://www.adn.com/2012/02/07/2304846/so-called-psychics-try-to-claim.html
I'm sure a young gal might very well be missing. And I'm fairly certain that she will return in good condition. But I'm not a Psychic. However, when you read the affidavits and emails of some folks who do/did live in Juneau, you'll be amazed at their apparent "psychic abilities", and claims made about their knowing what I was doing, wearing, eating, etc., while we were Thousands of miles apart! How can that be? And IF such words are true, then they should be able to tune into the same "channel" and find Ms. Koenig, and describe her condition, activities, and location. As far as I know, true psychic abilities aren't only conjured up to be used on those known to one. Who knew that The Big Berg was a Powerhouse of Psychic People? And apparently, I know a few of them.
Feb. 5, 2012. Decided to remain in Paradise. California is the best climate I've encountered. And Reseda, CA is what I would name a "Most Walkable Town", if one can physically walk a mile in any direction. Sweet!
Jan. 29, 2012. Happy Chinese New Year! It's the Year of the Dragon, and the last year for our civilization, if the Mayan's are correct. I'm confident that I'll live to see another year, being as I was born in a Dragon year, and can breath a little fire when I'm feeling feisty.
Change is in the air! And what an exciting year it will be. I'm leaving Los Angeles in a few weeks to beautiful Charlotte, NC to join up with bro and sis, (Mark and Gail), at Chez Gail for yet another round of family fun and old time tales.
Yes, indeed. The very same Mark and Gail who are featured right here in Frozen Fiefdom, but must have somehow cleared their minds of that fog and mass delusion that so many experienced about the state of my mental health and MIA event from still some unspecified time back in the Summer of 2007. Same as my parents must have put aside any question of my mental health, as they and the Hospice staff were more than happy to have my assistance and caregiving of Mom after her stroke and medical miracle style recovery during the Fall and Winter / Spring of 2010/2011.
Funny how that works; I'm perfectly capable to give skilled nursing care to my Mom, (even tho I am untrained and unlicensed), including personal judgement calls as the amount of insulin and giving the injection, but somehow an unfit parent in the eyes of the Alaska Court System, because others chose to make up lies about me, twist details of certain topics, etc., and to sign affidavits placing me in a negative light, all with the collective chorus of me being some sort of loony tune.
The Upside is: Claire will be turning 18 in a few months, and the restrictions placed on my parental rights by the Alaska Court System will be null and void. Any questions she may care to ask me about this case, and those involved, will be answered truthfully by me, and to the best of my recollection and paperwork proof can reveal. I'm fairly certain that as the clock ticks forward, there might be a few who are beginning to experience sweaty palms as to what conversations might take place. Tsk, Tsk. Your words, written and verbal are yours to own. Everyone seemed to have plenty of negative things to say about me back then, and the summaries and statements by some were truly remarkable; including the statements, emails, and reports by the Child Custody Investigator. The Bell can't be Unrung, and The Truth can soon be told.
Many thanks to my Readers who have been supportive and I'll keep you updated as things move along. I don't expect to encounter any further collusive and coercive actions by family members or others; they seem to have cleared their minds of their Collective Delusions and Hallucinations about me. The Nutter Label is an old tactic that has worked for decades around the globe, it's been very overused. Nor do I expect to somehow mysteriously "disappear", or have an unforeseen "accident".
My plan is to eyeball the residential real estate market in NC, and do more reseach for investing in Bonds and using Options. Seems like subjects ordinary folks who are mentally and financially fit would be interested in; wouldn't you say? So, why aren't you?
July 3, 2011. Sumtin' must be shakin' in the Big Berg, as recent days have brought an unusually large number of Juneau folks and others to this site. See new update under the section: "An Unsolved Murder?"
Feb. 27, 2011. Wow. I'm slightly surprised with the current headlines of "Past Medical Experiments on Humans Revealed."
Geez, Louise. It took 'em this long to dig up that dirt? They just haven't been to the Big Berg yet, I suppose?
No wonder a licensed eye care professional asked me when I was about 19 years old: "How old were you when you had eye surgery?"
And I replied: "My parents never said I had; have I?"
They replied: "Yes. It does appear so."
I said: "Well, I'll ask. But I'm sure they will say I never have."
"Then we'll never speak about it again." was the reply.
HHHHMMMMM. I didn't ask my parents, as I already knew what the answer would be, based on other life experiences.
And now that eye care professional of mine is CONveniently dead, so I'm sure it was all "just my imagination."
Like so many other things shakin' and bakin' in the Big Berg....
No wonder I heard all that song and dance about "The Greater Good Theory" and "The Have's and the Have Nots", when I was a kid.
Well, when I was a kid there was a dog I knew very well. And while it was dying of thirst, my Grammy said to me: "The Doctors said to not give it any water, not matter what. But they're not Real Doctors.."
Sick, isn't it?
That dog is long dead, Grammy died about 10 years ago, and I'm now almost 47 years old. Many folks who could be asked to verify certain things are either dead, won't talk, or would claim they "don't have the slightest idea what all that's about".
And while some of the things I know about happened perhaps 40 or more years ago also; it's never too late to share the truth. Folks who wouldn't be interested in knowing about such things back then might be more than a tad interested now.
Although physical proof might be difficult to come by now, after so many decades, fires, deaths, etc., I'm sure there are a handful who could share a tale or two, if the right questions were asked. Perhaps someday, they may.

AP story below from February 27, 2011.
ATLANTA Shocking as it may seem, U.S. government doctors once thought it was fine to experiment on disabled people and prison inmates. Such experiments included giving hepatitis to mental patients in Connecticut, squirting a pandemic flu virus up the noses of prisoners in Maryland, and injecting cancer cells into chronically ill people at a New York hospital.
Much of this horrific history is 40 to 80 years old, but it is the backdrop for a meeting in Washington this week by a presidential bioethics commission. The meeting was triggered by the government's apology last fall for federal doctors infecting prisoners and mental patients in Guatemala with syphilis 65 years ago.
U.S. officials also acknowledged there had been dozens of similar experiments in the United States studies that often involved making healthy people sick.
An exhaustive review by The Associated Press of medical journal reports and decades-old press clippings found more than 40 such studies. At best, these were a search for lifesaving treatments; at worst, some amounted to curiosity-satisfying experiments that hurt people but provided no useful results.
Inevitably, they will be compared to the well-known Tuskegee syphilis study. In that episode, U.S. health officials tracked 600 black men in Alabama who already had syphilis but didn't give them adequate treatment even after penicillin became available.
These studies were worse in at least one respect they violated the concept of "first do no harm," a fundamental medical principle that stretches back centuries.
"When you give somebody a disease even by the standards of their time you really cross the key ethical norm of the profession," said Arthur Caplan, director of the University of Pennsylvania's Center for Bioethics.
Some of these studies, mostly from the 1940s to the '60s, apparently were never covered by news media. Others were reported at the time, but the focus was on the promise of enduring new cures, while glossing over how test subjects were treated.
Attitudes about medical research were different then. Infectious diseases killed many more people years ago, and doctors worked urgently to invent and test cures. Many prominent researchers felt it was legitimate to experiment on people who did not have full rights in society people like prisoners, mental patients, poor blacks. It was an attitude in some ways similar to that of Nazi doctors experimenting on Jews.
"There was definitely a sense that we don't have today that sacrifice for the nation was important," said Laura Stark, a Wesleyan University assistant professor of science in society, who is writing a book about past federal medical experiments.
The AP review of past research found:
_A federally funded study begun in 1942 injected experimental flu vaccine in male patients at a state insane asylum in Ypsilanti, Mich., then exposed them to flu several months later. It was co-authored by Dr. Jonas Salk, who a decade later would become famous as inventor of the polio vaccine.
Some of the men weren't able to describe their symptoms, raising serious questions about how well they understood what was being done to them. One newspaper account mentioned the test subjects were "senile and debilitated." Then it quickly moved on to the promising results.
_In federally funded studies in the 1940s, noted researcher Dr. W. Paul Havens Jr. exposed men to hepatitis in a series of experiments, including one using patients from mental institutions in Middletown and Norwich, Conn. Havens, a World Health Organization expert on viral diseases, was one of the first scientists to differentiate types of hepatitis and their causes.
A search of various news archives found no mention of the mental patients study, which made eight healthy men ill but broke no new ground in understanding the disease.
_Researchers in the mid-1940s studied the transmission of a deadly stomach bug by having young men swallow unfiltered stool suspension. The study was conducted at the New York State Vocational Institution, a reformatory prison in West Coxsackie. The point was to see how well the disease spread that way as compared to spraying the germs and having test subjects breathe it. Swallowing it was a more effective way to spread the disease, the researchers concluded. The study doesn't explain if the men were rewarded for this awful task.
_A University of Minnesota study in the late 1940s injected 11 public service employee volunteers with malaria, then starved them for five days. Some were also subjected to hard labor, and those men lost an average of 14 pounds. They were treated for malarial fevers with quinine sulfate. One of the authors was Ancel Keys, a noted dietary scientist who developed K-rations for the military and the Mediterranean diet for the public. But a search of various news archives found no mention of the study.
_For a study in 1957, when the Asian flu pandemic was spreading, federal researchers sprayed the virus in the noses of 23 inmates at Patuxent prison in Jessup, Md., to compare their reactions to those of 32 virus-exposed inmates who had been given a new vaccine.
_Government researchers in the 1950s tried to infect about two dozen volunteering prison inmates with gonorrhea using two different methods in an experiment at a federal penitentiary in Atlanta. The bacteria was pumped directly into the urinary tract through the penis, according to their paper.
The men quickly developed the disease, but the researchers noted this method wasn't comparable to how men normally got infected by having sex with an infected partner. The men were later treated with antibiotics. The study was published in the Journal of the American Medical Association, but there was no mention of it in various news archives.
Though people in the studies were usually described as volunteers, historians and ethicists have questioned how well these people understood what was to be done to them and why, or whether they were coerced.
Prisoners have long been victimized for the sake of science. In 1915, the U.S. government's Dr. Joseph Goldberger today remembered as a public health hero recruited Mississippi inmates to go on special rations to prove his theory that the painful illness pellagra was caused by a dietary deficiency. (The men were offered pardons for their participation.)
But studies using prisoners were uncommon in the first few decades of the 20th century, and usually performed by researchers considered eccentric even by the standards of the day. One was Dr. L.L. Stanley, resident physician at San Quentin prison in California, who around 1920 attempted to treat older, "devitalized men" by implanting in them testicles from livestock and from recently executed convicts.
Newspapers wrote about Stanley's experiments, but the lack of outrage is striking.
"Enter San Quentin penitentiary in the role of the Fountain of Youth an institution where the years are made to roll back for men of failing mentality and vitality and where the spring is restored to the step, wit to the brain, vigor to the muscles and ambition to the spirit. All this has been done, is being done ... by a surgeon with a scalpel," began one rosy report published in November 1919 in The Washington Post.
Around the time of World War II, prisoners were enlisted to help the war effort by taking part in studies that could help the troops. For example, a series of malaria studies at Stateville Penitentiary in Illinois and two other prisons was designed to test antimalarial drugs that could help soldiers fighting in the Pacific.
It was at about this time that prosecution of Nazi doctors in 1947 led to the "Nuremberg Code," a set of international rules to protect human test subjects. Many U.S. doctors essentially ignored them, arguing that they applied to Nazi atrocities not to American medicine.
The late 1940s and 1950s saw huge growth in the U.S. pharmaceutical and health care industries, accompanied by a boom in prisoner experiments funded by both the government and corporations. By the 1960s, at least half the states allowed prisoners to be used as medical guinea pigs.
But two studies in the 1960s proved to be turning points in the public's attitude toward the way test subjects were treated.
The first came to light in 1963. Researchers injected cancer cells into 19 old and debilitated patients at a Jewish Chronic Disease Hospital in the New York borough of Brooklyn to see if their bodies would reject them.
The hospital director said the patients were not told they were being injected with cancer cells because there was no need the cells were deemed harmless. But the experiment upset a lawyer named William Hyman who sat on the hospital's board of directors. The state investigated, and the hospital ultimately said any such experiments would require the patient's written consent.
At nearby Staten Island, from 1963 to 1966, a controversial medical study was conducted at the Willowbrook State School for children with mental retardation. The children were intentionally given hepatitis orally and by injection to see if they could then be cured with gamma globulin.
Those two studies along with the Tuskegee experiment revealed in 1972 proved to be a "holy trinity" that sparked extensive and critical media coverage and public disgust, said Susan Reverby, the Wellesley College historian who first discovered records of the syphilis study in Guatemala.
By the early 1970s, even experiments involving prisoners were considered scandalous. In widely covered congressional hearings in 1973, pharmaceutical industry officials acknowledged they were using prisoners for testing because they were cheaper than chimpanzees.
Holmesburg Prison in Philadelphia made extensive use of inmates for medical experiments. Some of the victims are still around to talk about it. Edward "Yusef" Anthony, featured in a book about the studies, says he agreed to have a layer of skin peeled off his back, which was coated with searing chemicals to test a drug. He did that for money to buy cigarettes in prison.
"I said 'Oh my God, my back is on fire! Take this ... off me!'" Anthony said in an interview with The Associated Press, as he recalled the beginning of weeks of intense itching and agonizing pain.
The government responded with reforms. Among them: The U.S. Bureau of Prisons in the mid-1970s effectively excluded all research by drug companies and other outside agencies within federal prisons.
As the supply of prisoners and mental patients dried up, researchers looked to other countries.
It made sense. Clinical trials could be done more cheaply and with fewer rules. And it was easy to find patients who were taking no medication, a factor that can complicate tests of other drugs.
Additional sets of ethical guidelines have been enacted, and few believe that another Guatemala study could happen today. "It's not that we're out infecting anybody with things," Caplan said.
Still, in the last 15 years, two international studies sparked outrage.
One was likened to Tuskegee. U.S.-funded doctors failed to give the AIDS drug AZT to all the HIV-infected pregnant women in a study in Uganda even though it would have protected their newborns. U.S. health officials argued the study would answer questions about AZT's use in the developing world.
The other study, by Pfizer Inc., gave an antibiotic named Trovan to children with meningitis in Nigeria, although there were doubts about its effectiveness for that disease. Critics blamed the experiment for the deaths of 11 children and the disabling of scores of others. Pfizer settled a lawsuit with Nigerian officials for $75 million but admitted no wrongdoing.
Last year, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' inspector general reported that between 40 and 65 percent of clinical studies of federally regulated medical products were done in other countries in 2008, and that proportion probably has grown. The report also noted that U.S. regulators inspected fewer than 1 percent of foreign clinical trial sites.
Monitoring research is complicated, and rules that are too rigid could slow new drug development. But it's often hard to get information on international trials, sometimes because of missing records and a paucity of audits, said Dr. Kevin Schulman, a Duke University professor of medicine who has written on the ethics of international studies.
These issues were still being debated when, last October, the Guatemala study came to light.
In the 1946-48 study, American scientists infected prisoners and patients in a mental hospital in Guatemala with syphilis, apparently to test whether penicillin could prevent some sexually transmitted disease. The study came up with no useful information and was hidden for decades.
The Guatemala study nauseated ethicists on multiple levels. Beyond infecting patients with a terrible illness, it was clear that people in the study did not understand what was being done to them or were not able to give their consent. Indeed, though it happened at a time when scientists were quick to publish research that showed frank disinterest in the rights of study participants, this study was buried in file drawers.
"It was unusually unethical, even at the time," said Stark, the Wesleyan researcher.
"When the president was briefed on the details of the Guatemalan episode, one of his first questions was whether this sort of thing could still happen today," said Rick Weiss, a spokesman for the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy.
That it occurred overseas was an opening for the Obama administration to have the bioethics panel seek a new evaluation of international medical studies. The president also asked the Institute of Medicine to further probe the Guatemala study, but the IOM relinquished the assignment in November, after reporting its own conflict of interest: In the 1940s, five members of one of the IOM's sister organizations played prominent roles in federal syphilis research and had links to the Guatemala study.
So the bioethics commission gets both tasks. To focus on federally funded international studies, the commission has formed an international panel of about a dozen experts in ethics, science and clinical research. Regarding the look at the Guatemala study, the commission has hired 15 staff investigators and is working with additional historians and other consulting experts.
The panel is to send a report to Obama by September. Any further steps would be up to the administration.
Some experts say that given such a tight deadline, it would be a surprise if the commission produced substantive new information about past studies. "They face a really tough challenge," Caplan said.

AP news researchers Susan James and Julie Reed Bell contributed to this report.
January 16, 2011. As expected, there hasn't been any further developments or information from the person in Juneau who emailed me regarding Cindy Elrod's murder, back in November 2010.
They claimed to have shared their story and some heresay with local law enforcement, but the tone of the emails appeared to be more of a drama dump, and information dig.
CBJ and SOA servers do visit this website, and have many times in the past, but it simply might be regular employees sucking up bandwidth, scouting the net to relieve boredom during working hours. Your Tax Dollars at work! Cuz if it were law enforcement folks having a browse round this site, you think they'd get in touch with me directly, or get busy solving a globally popular cold case.
I'm much more puzzled as to why the Juneau resident seemed convinced that a particular person was responsible for her death, as his name isn't the first which crossed my mind.
Thoughts? Opinions? Speculation?

About December 23 or so, It was a Christmas to remember. Sister Anna started snapping pix of us sibs, and Jay asked "why are you taking pictures of us?
I looked at her directly and asked, "Yes, when you know I don't like you doing so."
And she snapped, "Put your arm down!!! I'm not!!".
Click, Click , Click.
"SSHHHEEEETTT." said Brother Jay.
I did move my arm down, to give her an out. Which she declined to take.
Click.
Any photos of me are unauthorized, as with the rest of them.
i don't know 'bout your fam, but most folks would put that kinda thing in the "passive aggressive" category, and wonder why it was so important for her to take pix of folks who didn't want to be photoed. I did notice that she didn't ask to be posed in a fam pix herself, with ua all as a group. HHHmmm. She was the snap happy.
Today is Veterans Day. Please take a minute to take to thank those who have served, and remember those who are no longer with us.
November 11, 2010. Check out the additions to the newest section of "Ya Know Somethin's Brewin' When...," and my poems number #48 "Deciduous Trees Have Multi Colored Leaves" and #49 "An Aging Tree" under Poems 42 - section. Craigslist apparently found #48 objectionable, and declined to make it visible on their site. HHHHhhhmmmmm. Very strange indeed.
"When you're too hot for Craigslist, it might be really good.."
However, they loosened the tether on #49 An Aging Tree, and the responses received have been of high quality. Thanks, Craigs!!
Two apparently different, but interested parties have contacted me this week about the Murder of Cindy Elrod. At this time, one has requested I not share our exchanges, but apparently have leaned into the ear of law enforcement with whatever it is they know. Perhaps we'll all have a real answer to that "Unsolved" mystery, someday. But then again, Someday is not a day of the week...
The other party was too extreme for me to formulate a reasonable reply, so I didn't. Their emails are posted under "Ya Know Somethin's... section, listed on the left sidebar.
October 11, 2010. It's been an interesting time here at the Parental Pad in Oregon. Some things have panned out exactly as I told a friend in L.A., before I left. I sleep with the window open and the miniblinds up, with complete ease. I had planned to meet up with a new "Leaf" and do a short road trip together, but after a few too many doublespeaks, inconsistencies, and other verbal and written Tells; I gave him the "Bon Voyage" line, without actually saying it, and rearranged my schedule.
I think it was when he said he was near Mt. Rainer, and was seeing a lot of brown, the casual mention of heroin being in Oregon during a very long phone chat, and the written and verbal statements made about my car having possible mechanical failure that sorta clued me in that he probably wasn't on my team.
Just a few days ago, Dad had asked if I'd ever had the timing belt replaced on my Toyota, and it might be a good idea to check into doing so. I recently had my car serviced at a local auto shop in Reseda, to the tune of several hundred dollars, and had requested they do a thorough inspection and tell me about any Mission Critical work which might be needed. I have complete confidence in their professional assessment and work which was performed. Two unrelated men who shouldn't know each other both raising the topic of my ride possibly having problems sorta was to CONvenient of a coincidence for me. I don't believe in coincidences, for most events; explainable, or not.
My Toyota Chariot has had it's trunk lining, front passenger door panel, radio, and possibly some carpeting removed and replaced during the last several years Without My Consent or Knowledge, while it was parked at the homes of, or was in the possession of, family members in various US locations, and at a friend's in Los Angeles. When I asked questions, no answers were provided other than the standard "I dunno".
Someone suggested that my car may have been used to carry something it shouldn't, and that whomever was putting something in, was counting on another to removed it at a later time. When I arrived back in L.A. in Jan. of 2008, after being in FL and DC for several days, I went out to the Chariot and found the little round disk that goes behind the window crank on the floor, completely intact, and a screw missing from the same door panel. HHHmmnmm. Those darned fumble fingered Elves were busy, but who are they, and who's the running that show?
As soon as I can figure out the new Yahoo layout, I'll put up a new section " Ya Know Somethin's Brewin' When..."
"If They can't get ya committed, they'll set you up for a long lock up." Seems to me I heard that line somewhere...
Seems like the current plan to run me down, no?
Readers, whadda ya think? Email me your comments: Paula@frozenfiefdom.com
October 4, 2010. As Tim Conway, Jr. says, "When Poverty moves in, Love moves out." I agree, and the Leaf who had been hanging round me for the last 2 years or so wasn't producing enough chlorophyll, and livin' on love wasn't gunna cut it any longer with me.
I said "Adios" back in late July, and decided to fire up the keyboard with another of my seemingly well received poetic personals ads. Response was "better than expected", although a few responders appeared to be Grumpy Little Gremlins, with a GI lack of humor. Musta been reject employees from the GAO or IRS?

August 15, 2010. Nothing new to share, so have a lovely Sunday.
Aug. 4, 2010. Hello to the new Readers, especially from AK.
Here we are, in the midst of another solar storm. An enormous CME from the sun has been hurled toward Earth. Don't be surprised if local broadcasting experiences technical difficulties, and periodic outages.
Continued interest in the Cindy Elrod murder by more folks.
July 26, 2010. As expected, more folks are searching the internet looking for information on the murder of Cindy Elrod, as the anniversary date draws near, and land on this website. I too, am very curious as to who killed her, and why.
July 15, 2010. The "Big News" of the day is a Twofer. BP claims cautious success on capping the Gulf Gusher (short lived, IMO; just a news reel/distraction), and Goldman Sachs had to empty half a sack for the fine of $550M, which would be quite a hunk o cash to me, but not to them. Back in the real USA world, the Unemployment first time filing rolls are still in the nearly 500,000; the EU is still just this side of chaos/collapse, downgrades on Portugal (not important to you, but to the EU, somewhat. And the Greeks won't like suckin' it up one more Euro on their pay/retirement; back to the Drachma it may be.) Hello. Prosperity! It'a be a comin' your way, right?
That was a nice DC bounce, but the reports coming out today (massaged to be "hopeful", but still sucked (aren't we all curious as to what the Real Numbers are?) The Trend is your friend, and it's still down. Tomorrow might be crown on the most recent upswing, but GOOG gagged, so it's all downwind from here.
July 4, 2010.Hello to the new Readers! Folks around Alaska have increased site traffic significantly in the past week. I've always wondered what causes a surge in visits to the website from any one location, or region; does someone whisper a secret, or a rumor rolls by, or a plot was peeked at?
New traffic from Israel, of all places. I don't know anyone there, but Israel, Russia, and Canada are the foreign countries that appear to visit most often. HHHhhhmmmmm. Front door, back door, who knows what they are looking for?
June 27, 2010. I was planning a road trip down the Gulf Coast to do a photo documentary of the depth and breadth of the BP Gulf Gusher, which continues to spew unrestrained. Folks aren't allowed to talk, and media coverage is censored. Just as I've found while scouring for home videos/online boards for the last several weeks.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gdrzqwk41pU&feature=fvwe
Meanwhile, back at the ranch...BP is floating a man made island off the coast of Alaska, and planning to drill two (2) miles deep, and several miles out. HHHhhmmmm. They don't 'pear to be a handlin' what they got for an OOOppppssssyyyy down there in the Gulf. But Greed always rules, and Alaska and the Federal Government do stand to cash in on any oil wells/barrel/taxes; so no worries. Who cares 'bout another rape of the environment without a doable emergency plan (Proven, and successful) Ain't in the paperwork, nor was it in the Gulf drilling plans. Nuf said. . . Money is the factor; someone could just build a nuclear reactor. But the right folks wouldn't make as much money.
Drill, Baby, Drill !!! And no bitching when the OOOOppppssssyyyy Doodle spews from the high Arctic floor.

June 13, 2010. The Asians are apparently likin' our Non Consumer reports from Friday. What say you? Housing, retail, jobs, etc. DOWN Big here in CA, the world's Eighth (8th) largest economy. I'd say, I'm a front floor expert on what's shakin' here. Brief market bumps up may happen; don't get caught in the hype. CA has an "official rate of unemployment of over 12%. About 3% more than the national average. And the Yes You! Reality Check is: More like 25% unemployed. Don't believe it? Show of hands here! I am one.
June 4, 2010. Another day in the Ponzi scam markets. How'd you do? And with that Gulf Gusher pumping oil into the ocean like a politician on self promotion steroids; I think we can all bank on complete breakdown of the global economy. The EURO should go to parity with the USD very soon.
Great! Perhaps I'll be able to afford a vacation to those countries I have yet to visit, at some point. Have you known or asked anyone who is unemployed how their job search and wages offered has been? If not, you'd better grab the reality check, and stop listening to the pumper media, "experts", and the President and co. What a disappointment. There is no "economic recovery", and any new jobs are paying much less than previously offered. I'm sure it's all Bush's fault...
Has everyone delved into their copy of "Sour Rain" yet? What a story!! It's like readin' J town history, at least from what I recall. But then I was so young that folks and things happenin' around me just must have been my "imagination". How 'bout some Book of the Month Clubs listing this one as a Must Read? Show of hands here!

May 26, 2010. Things be a lookin' up! During a Google search the other day, I found the website and sneak peek of a most fascinating story set in The Big Berg: "Sour Rain".
Available through Amazon.com, or directly from the author; I've asked for permission to link to his site, but you can find it easily yourself with a little huntin' and scratchin' .
A Great Read 'bout the old Home Town tonight!
For those who are viewing the major market indices as their retirement plans are evaporating; you might want to check out this link. I'm in the camp of we are on the way to number 17, another stated we are at number 7 and everything is right on track for a repeat of history regardless. Trade accordingly. GLTA

May 16, 2010. Site traffic is way up on several segments of this site. "Was the Devil Diddling...", "An Unsolved Murder?", several of the Affidavits Of..." sections, and the two about Area 51 have seen increases, just this side of a stampede! For those who believe in the Collective Unconscious theory; perhaps you have some notion as to why so many are so interested in those particular sections, and are they interlinked, or just some sorta coincidence? OM that mystery thru the Ether, and lemme know!
Someone asked about my other story, http://runtararun.com
They had noted that the Disclaimer section of that story states it is a work of fiction, but that some of the segments were indeed true, as were the links, etc. So, for those who didn't read from the top down, everything above the Disclaimer section of that story is true; the remainder of the website will be fiction.
I'll post more to it when I have time; things were a hoppin' in the "Sodom and Gomorrah Sausage Factory", (machines grinding into the night, churning out mystery meat products and unidentifiable sludge...) with a wafting stench that reminded me of the sounds and smells of the various cold storages in the Big Berg.
That, and bag of salt, will give you a good start on some smoked salmon...
I leaned about "hooks" and "cliffhangers" by listening to the radio when I was young. It's a useful tool in writing, and the suspense must be building, based on site traffic.
"Frozen Fiefdom" is non fiction; although I'm fairly certain that many wish it weren't. Nothing like the truth bein' told to stir things up.
May 15, 2010. Across the border and back! Teeth intact~
Ya can't beat South of the Border for super service and professional staff. Dental/medical tourism is the new norm, and when Obama NonCare hits the USA; even more folks'll pay the fines instead of buyin' the mandatory insurance (let's just call it a TAX, shall we?), and head to foreign countries for their health care needs.
There shor nuf do seem to be somethin' a shakin' in the Big Berg in the last few weeks. Lookin' like it do be a rattlin' folks all the way the the Florida Keys; whatever It might be. We'll soon see...
April 13, 2010. See new material and link to newspaper article about the Cindy Elrod murder under the section "An Unsolved Murder?"

April 6, 2010. Much more added to the section "Was the Devil Diddling..", And if anyone needs a well skilled office manager/IT guy, the man who's been hunkerin' 'round me for the last couple a years could use some FT employment. Bennies preferred. Outdo the Feds! He could use the cash to keep watch on me; I'd like to have the standard of where we go and what we do raised significantly.
I asked him the other day if the Money Fairy was going to appear to pay his rent. He kinda laughed and said "I'm gunna roll the Money Fairy!" Must have, as he's still living in the same place. I wonder if he found that elusive Money Tree I've heard about... Regardless, the cash came from somewhere, or someone. Absolutely fascinating.
March 28, 2010. Section "Was the Devil Diddling..." is currently under construction. More content soon!
March 27, 2010. Watch for the newest section "Was the Devil Diddling in Douglas?"
February 15, 2010. A record amount of traffic was logged on this site last week. It's amazing to see the global reach of the internet. Many Thanks to the reader who mentioned "Frozen Fiefdom" on the Fark.com website, and a warm Hello to all of the new Readers. See the new additions under "The Few, The Bold,..." section.
January 18, 2010. Some might argue that the new decade doesn't officially begin until 2011, but welcoming it on January 1, 2010, is, as the saying goes, "close enough for government work". Those Fed Boys do like round numbers.
Do I hear a resounding "I'll second that!" from all the readers who are city, state, and federal workers, and the military personnel who visit this site regularly. Some appear to have plenty of free time to read my fascinating stories featuring folks from the Big Berg, while logging hours on the company computer and receiving a nice paycheck while seated "at the trough". (As adults near me used to refer to the work station of state and federal employees.) Some things never change! The wasting of public money by the government has always been a taxpayer gripe.
In the spirit of giving my readers facts and material that can raise the smoothest unibrow , I've stated a new section entitled:
The Few, The Bold, Their Stories Shall Be Told
Feel free to email me your recollections of any Close Encounters; featuring ET, MIB's, or any other government agency acronym.
