Yes; I am a real person, and this is a true story. Yes, all those detailed tidbits which most of us would consider "too much information" that I wrote about myself are true. Such topics aren't highlighting my better points, and isn't my first choice of
how to introduce myself to the world as a writer. But I felt that it was necessary to include them, in case there was any question as to the authenticity of my story. There is plenty of unflattering material and information about numerous people within this site; directly from their own keyboards and lips.
Any privacy I thought I had is long gone. Perhaps the entire world might be able to come up with an answer to "How did they know all that about her?" Or better still, "So what, and Who Cares?" Clearly, "Nobody" must.
Yes, that is my self portrait from a couple of years back that I posted on this site, under the "Disclaimer and Mission Statement" section, and now HERE. I have long hair now, and perhaps a wrinkle or two.
I have a few expressions that I use when difficult decisions or problems arise, or when I have to make a choice about something. One of them is: "Do Something, even if it's wrong." Because I always feel that I have a Choice, and if I make the wrong one; it can be corrected, or something can be done differently.
The other is "When I don't know what to do; I do Something." Because sitting around waiting for a problem to solve itself is usually not going to work out the way I would like it to. I'm not a control freak, but I won't be a victim of circumstances either.
Having a Choice, and making a decision gives one power. Personal responsibility is part of the package, and I am fully responsible for my words and actions.
Can I get a Witness? Show of hands? Amen.
